Accounting & Tax Compliance in Albania
One calendar. No surprises in either direction.
Tridens provides accounting, bookkeeping and tax compliance services in Albania for local businesses and foreign-owned companies. We organise the accounting records behind your returns, prepare corporate tax, VAT and withholding filings, and coordinate the work with payroll and your legal structure. International owners receive clear explanations in English and an agreed schedule of responsibilities and deadlines.
The value is not only in the filing but in the certainty — knowing what is due, when, and that it will be handled. You are freed to run the business while your obligations are managed quietly in the background.
What we advise on.
Corporate income tax returns
We prepare and file annual corporate income tax returns, reconciled to your accounts. These are returns we stand behind because we know the numbers underneath them.
VAT returns
We prepare and submit periodic VAT returns accurately and on time. Regular, correct filing keeps you clear of penalties and scrutiny.
Withholding filings
We manage withholding declarations and payments on the relevant flows. These easily-overlooked obligations are the ones that attract penalties.
Registrations
We handle statutory tax registrations and changes as your business evolves. Being correctly registered is the foundation of every other filing.
Deadline management
We keep a single calendar of every tax obligation and act on it ahead of time. Nothing is missed because everything is tracked.
Authority liaison
We handle routine correspondence with the tax authority on your behalf. A professional interface with the authority stops small matters becoming large ones.
How we work with you.
Because the same firm knows your structure and keeps your books, the figures on your returns are consistent with everything else we do for you. Compliance is joined up, not siloed.
A dedicated team owns your compliance calendar and tells you what is coming before it arrives. You get accuracy, punctuality, and no surprises in either direction.
You want compliance handled reliably and on time.
You are behind, or facing penalties, and need to get current.
You are setting up and need your registrations in order.
Compliance obligations, deadlines, assessments, and penalties are set out in Law No. 9920/2008 "On Tax Procedures in the Republic of Albania", alongside the substantive tax laws, and are administered through the tax authority's electronic filing system. We manage registration, filing, and payment within those rules and keep you current with changes to them.
ACCOUNTING FOR YOUR ALBANIAN BUSINESS
Clear records. Coordinated compliance.
Whether you are registering a new company or handing over an existing business, agree the records, responsibilities and reporting you need from the start.
What is included in accounting and tax compliance?
We agree the bookkeeping and records to be maintained, the returns to be prepared and the filing calendar for your business. The scope identifies who supplies invoices and bank records, who approves returns and payments, and how payroll information is coordinated. Advisory work, historic corrections and any audit requirements are identified separately rather than assumed to be included.
Can you work with our accountant or finance team abroad?
Yes. We can coordinate the Albanian accounting and tax work with your UK, EU or US accountant or group finance team. We agree the information, reporting periods and responsibilities at the start. Local Albanian records and filings remain distinct from any parent-company reporting or foreign tax returns.
What do you need to take over an existing company’s accounting?
We first review the registration details, recent accounts and returns, outstanding filing periods, invoices, bank records and any correspondence from the tax authority. We agree a handover date and identify missing information or earlier periods that need separate work. Access and authorisations are arranged securely as part of the engagement.
How are recurring fees agreed?
The proposal reflects transaction volume, VAT status, employees, cross-border activity and reporting needs. It distinguishes the recurring service from setup, catch-up work and additional advice. The scope, responsibilities and fees are agreed in writing before the work begins.
